Twinings is delighted to present a First Picked, First Flush Darjeeling teas from the Upper Namring tea gardens. Slow grown on uniquely high elevations and produced with skill and care that makes these teas truly beautiful.
Leaf
A Very attractive leaf, that has abundant silver tip content
Infusion
This Orthodox Namring produces a medium orange infusion that has a light appearance and intensity and whose flavours begin with only gentle head notes of muscatel, indentifying it easy as a spring tea. The body notes soon appear giving way to a delicate fruity / fresh fruit taste with peachy character that tails with a gentle sweetness, making it an easy drinker that you will continually come back for. Most probably a tea you would usually take with milk or sugar with – simply great on its own
Food Paring
The light fruit tones make this a great tea to enjoy with soft gentle cheeses as both have a fruity creamy quality. However this tea will mix well with gentle almond and ham flavours so would be ideal for a summer picnic. Yet, so superb is it quality it is simply great taken on its own.
