A lighter, fine flavour with intensity, with a delicate muscatel & honey character, sourced from the Selimbong (or 'Silbung' locally) Gardens.
This tea is plucked slightly later in the season and the dried leaf has a very different look.
It is slightly darker and very much more mature, offering a very different flavour.
When brewed, you'll see that the Second Flush Darjeeling really comes alive in the bowl. It has a much deeper, darker, more coppery colour and a darker more coppery leaf.
Instantly you'll get that perfume-y muscatel smell coming from the tea and when tasting it you'll see it is much more full on. The peachiness you get from this Darjeeling gives away to a slightly nutty flavour.
Some people may choose to have this with a splash of milk, although that's not really for us.

"lots of golden tips of the end bud and first leaf of each shoot"
This is a tippy golden flowery orange pekoe" - which is 'tea talk' to explain that it contains lots of golden tips of the end bud as well as the first leaf of each shoot!
When infused, the leaf has a vibrant salmon pink colour, denoting fine quality.
An exquisite delicate liquor and the concentration of flavour from this 2nd flush or pick, is unique to the spring teas, which give a wonderfully honeyed aroma and the famous light, fragrant taste of ripe green muscatel grapes.
The perfect mid-afternoon tea with a little something...
